Over the last couple of years the Covid-19 Pandemic has seriously interfered with the way we expected to undertake various visits to places of interest and to meet for meals as we have over previous years. In fact we were all but at a standstill. Nevertheless as restrictions eased we held a meeting on 6th October 2021 with 11 members to discuss the way forward in the future.
We had lost two staunch members in Les and Sue who had moved away from Hillingdon but welcomed two new members to the Group.
Our usual Christmas Lunch will not take place this year (2021) due to continuing problems with Covid-19.
1. Paul who recently joined our group has arranged for us to visit St.George’s Church in Southall to see the organ which was built in 1723 and has recently been restored. We will go there on Wednesday 5th January 2022 and hope to hear it being played.
This was well attended and enjoyed by those who were there.
2.At our February meeting we will be joined by a Speaker on Street Pastors
(We have other speakers arranged for March and May and the AGM in April.)
4. Also under consideration is a return visit to Cranford Park. Possibly in August this year.
